THE HEAVENLY
HANDS SIGN MINISTRY
D’Angelo Burns and Kevin Lambert have been in the ministry since they were 7 and 4. They always went with
their dad to his quartet rehearsal. One day while dad was driving they were sitting in the back seat of the car and just started singing. They were singing the songs that their dad and his group were practicing.
D’Angelo and Kevin traveled with the group and soon became known as the Heavenly Tots. Kevin wanted to be able to minister to
those who could not hear them singing. We then enrolled them in a sign language programs , under the direction of Mr. Kenneth Stith. They started signing at every event they went to. The more they ministered, the more people were
truly touched by them. This was truly amazing to the people who they came in contact with them. They have ministered and taught all over different parts of Virginia, even at the Verizon Center in Washington DC.
They recently traveled to Chicago to train and teach a group of teenagers to sign a special song for the ETA PHI BETA Sorority Inc.
Kevin and D’Angelo know just how good God has been to them. The people, who they cherish, that have been a big influence
in their lives are Dr. Rev Cavell Phillips, The Spirit of Youth, of Petersburg, VA and Rev Phillip Knight, who sing “Save a Seat for Me”, And a host of other Pastors, Teachers, Family members and supporters.
Over the past two years the Heavenly Tots have grown in age and the height, Now 15 & 18 and 5'8 and 6'0 the name had to change. They are now called, The Heavenly Hands.
D’Angelo and Kevin are both honor student at L.C Bird High in Chesterfield, Virginia. D’Angelo attend the National Youth Conference in Maryland. D’Angelo has also served on the Broadcasting Club when he attended Curtis Elementary in 2006-2007. He is currently the Mass choir director at church. Plus team captain of the Ultimate Frisbee Team at his school. D'Angelo's
goal is to become a sign language interpreter in multiple languages.
Kevin will have an opportunity to travel abroad, to Italy in the Summer of 2014. At the age of 10, Kevin
had in place a 5 year plan which included what college he wanted to attend and what he wants to major in. In 2012 Kevin was awarded a Certificate from the Chesterfield County School Superintendent for his compassion and caring, for his
fellow students. He also received an award for the Highest score on the SOL's for Algebra. He has been taking photos since he was 4 years old and now he photographs special events and accompanies his father to different photo sessions.
Kevin and D’Angelo love the Lord and don’t mind showing you just how much. Their saying is "God's gift to us is what he made us and our gift to him is what we have become. Trust in the Lord and he will guide your path...."
Thank
you,
James & Barbara Lambert
